junior pathway

youth pathway

Level 1 - Youth Coaching Award

Level 2 – Youth Coaching Certificate

senior pathway

Level 2 - Senior Coaching Certificate

Level 3 - Senior Coaching Certificate

A Coach Development Guide from New Zealand Football and Waikato BOP Football covers all the courses and the pathways available to all coaches on any level to obtain or refresh knowledge and skills by going to these courses and completing modules.

Courses and Dates in Our Area

These courses are being held locally and at various times to make it more convenient than ever before. If these don't suit there may be a course elsewhere that does.

Our club helps with the cost of these courses and we would like to see all our coaches taking advantage of these courses when they are available. For all  queries and to register for these courses contact us.

Player Profiling

Developing a player profile for yourself or your players helps to:

  • Identify strengths and weaknesses, to help guide training programme design
  • Monitor development
  • Guide return from illness or injury

There are two parts to a Player Profile:

  1. Health and Lifestyle Questionnaire
  2. The Fitness Check-up

Ideally, profiling should be done at the start and end of pre-season, midway through the season and again at the end.

MacDonalds Small Whites Coaching Tips with Ryan Nelson
“To get to where I am now you’ve got to go beyond the average. When people train twice a week, they think it’s enough, when it’s no where near enough – four times a week is not enough – you’ve got to get fitter, you’ve got to get stronger, you’ve got to get more skilful.

If you work harder than everyone else in some way it’ll come back and help you."
