Papamoa kicked off their encounter against Otumoetai with a very strong looking  and balanced team , both striker s having found the net the pervious week and the central midfield pairing of Stu W and Greg Anton both having strong games ...Otumoetai possibly sensing they were going to be in for a long afternoon got as many players behind the ball as possible , their game plan work well for the first 20 - 25 minutes as we struggled to break them down or create anything for ourselves .
It took a raking 50 yard ball over the top from Simon to set Daniel on his way , looking up to see where the keeper was positioned The Beast took one touch and hammered a low drive into the left hand bottom corner ... at last the breakthrough !!
The goal seemed to bring the game to life and wake a few players up , it was only 2 minutes later the home keeper was picking the ball out of the net again as Pap Fc keeper Stewart R launched a long kick out straight to Joey who out paced the home defence and left the keeper with no chance side footing under him from 10 yards . With a 2 goal cushion we started to pass the ball about as we know we can ... and it wasn't long untill Daniel popped up in the right place 2 yards out from goal to tap into an empty net after Tristan had seen his effort saved on the line , there was just enough time left in the first half for Daniel to complete his hat-trick , playing a one-two with Josh before slotting home .. half time 4-0 to Papamoa .
Papamoa started the second half in search of more goals , but were guilty of overplaying and taking that one touch to many for the 15 - 20 minutes , it took some neat play up the right hand side between Nathan and Josh to unlock the home defence with Nathan firing in a great cross , Pogo Boy Joey out jumping everybody and bulleting a brilliant header into the top corner .
The final goal came with 10 minutes to go , Tristan skinning two men out wide on the left before squaring the ball for Joey to bag a hat-trick aswell ...
Six goals for , clean sheet for the defence and keepers ... all and all a good day out !
