Papamoa started the game well against a pretty strong looking TCU outfit , looking comfortably in the untested 3-5-2 formation for this weeks fixture , it only took 5 minutes for the home team to test the youthful Tauranga keeper , a crisp low drive from the boot of
Tristan warming his hands ..
With 90% of the action taking place in the middle on the field it took until the 35th minute for Papamoa to  break the deadlock , a quality cross from out on the right touchline from Stewart Woodin found the Daniel " the beast " Anton who glanced a perfect header past the helpless keeper , at last 1-0 , that was to become 2-0 a few minutes later as the Papamoa midfield finally got on top of the Tauranga team , with Tristan Wood benefiting from some fine work from Curtis to slide a left foot shot into the bottom corner on the net , halftime 2-0.
The second half was only 2 minutes old when Stewart R had to pick the ball out of the home net after Tauranga had scored direct from a corner kick ( that lad will never do that again as long as he lives , not a chance ! ).
The next 20 minutes saw Papamoa battle for every ball to hold their slender advantage , with Tauranga pushing for the goal that would tie the game up they left the back door open and Reuben Wood took full advantage , collecting a loose pass before beating 3 Tauranga players and coolly side footing home from a very tight angle 3-1 .
The final action of the game was worth waiting for as a Reuben Wood cross from the left saw Stewart W bullet home a header from 10 yards to seal a very good 4-1 home win .
